Howard Colin-Thome is a Registered Psychologist and an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society. Howard holds a Diploma in Education, Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Psychology degree. Howard has had several years experience in working in private practice with adults with difficulties including anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, stress, gambling addiction, grief and loss and other relational issues. As a Registered Psychologist Howard is able to provide psychological services under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative.


Howard uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy to address client issues. The Client Centred Approach is an integral part of his therapeutic approach. This approach endeavours to promote individual growth and development through providing a supportive and empathic counselling environment. In this therapeutic approach the counsellor is focused upon the current key concerns, thoughts and feelings of the individual.
